Highlights

  • $NAI powers Helix as the operational fuel for data integrity, lineage, and verifiable events across the Nuklai network.

  • Builders and partners use $NAI to publish agents, datasets, and services in the Nexus marketplace, aligning ecosystem growth with token utility.

  • Community members can participate through staking, marketplace success pools, and launchpad access tied to real adoption and business activity.

As promised in the roadmap, we are publishing a clear overview of Nuklai token utility ($NAI). The goal is to give holders a practical outlook on how $NAI is used across the Nuklai network and ecosystem, and how it ties into real adoption.

To keep it simple, we split $NAI utility into two categories:

  1. Direct usage (network-level utility)

  2. Ecosystem access (builder, marketplace, and launchpad futility)

Direct Usage: Powering Helix — Data Usage, Integrity and Data Lineage

Every time Helix is used, $NAI becomes the utility layer behind trust. Any dApp that runs on Helix, or interacts with Helix to submit or verify events, consumes network resources and therefore pays gas in $NAI. That includes Nuklai-built services, as well as third-party applications that leverage Helix mainnet for integrity, traceability, and verification. The more Helix is used in real workflows, the more $NAI is used as the operational fuel that keeps those workflows verifiable.

Nuklai will launch its traceability, authenticity, and data lineage solution on Helix, because this is where “AI meets reality.” Nexus helps teams explore and act on data through conversation and collaboration, but once data starts driving automation, reporting, or AI decisions, one question becomes unavoidable: can you prove the data is accurate, consistent, and not silently changed?

That is exactly what data lineage solves, and it is also where $NAI utility becomes concrete. Helix records tamper-evident lineage events on-chain by anchoring cryptographic fingerprints (hashes) of data states and transformations. Each lineage event is a transaction, and each transaction is paid in $NAI. In simple terms: every time you want to prove a datapoint, a transformation, or an outcome is trustworthy, you are using Helix, and thus $NAI.

Data Lineage, In Human Terms

Imagine you are looking at a number on a dashboard, or an AI tells you: “Revenue is up 12%.” Your first reaction is usually: cool, but where did that come from?

Data lineage is the story of that number. It is the receipt trail that shows where the data started (which system/source), what happened to it along the way (filters, joins, calculations, edits), who or what touched it (a tool, a user, an automated job), and how it finally ended up as that specific answer.

Instead of “trust me bro,” you get: “Here is the chain of evidence from source to transformations to result.” And when something looks off, lineage lets you rewind and pinpoint exactly where it went wrong.

Submitting Data to Helix

Helix does not store your raw data. Helix stores a hash, a cryptographic fingerprint of the data at the moment it was generated or changed. This allows Helix to prove integrity over time without putting raw data on-chain.

Every recorded event, every version, change, or transformation proof is an on-chain transaction. These transactions are paid for using $NAI. In short: $NAI is the fuel that powers integrity events and makes Helix usable at scale.

Network Security: Nodes and Staking

A trust layer is only as strong as the network securing it. That is why Helix is designed so that token holders and enterprises can participate by running nodes and staking $NAI to validate transactions and earn rewards.

This is core utility: $NAI powers transactions and secures the integrity layer itself.

Ecosystem Access: Enabling Services, Data, and Investment Opportunities

Nuklai is not only building products, we are building infrastructure that others can build on. The long-term value of the ecosystem grows when partners and builders can create and distribute real services on top of Nexus and Helix.

This includes domain-specific agents, integrations, and valuable datasets that can be used beyond a single organization. Importantly, Nuklai does not “train your domain knowledge” for you. That expertise sits with builders and partners. Nuklai enables them to capture their knowledge, turn it into agents or data products, and deliver those services through Nexus.

Publishing Services or Datasets: Paying for Marketplace Access

If a company or individual wants to publish an agent or dataset into the Nexus marketplace, they will need to pay a meaningful amount of $NAI (or USD, used for buybacks). A marketplace only works when publishers have real skin in the game, and paying helps keep quality high while filtering out spam and low-effort listings.

Paid $NAI will be redistributed into the marketplace staking pool with a portion being burned. This creates a direct utility loop tied to marketplace growth: more real listed data workspaces and services and more real usage translates into more value flowing through the ecosystem.

Publishers can charge for their services in USD, because that’s how enterprises buy in practice. A portion of those revenues is used to strengthen the ecosystem and reward the community, including incentive mechanisms, buy-backs, USD-based rewards for $NAI stakers, and long-term sustainability funding.

Marketplace “Business Success” Staking pools: Community Participation

Not everyone wants to publish a service, but many community members want exposure to ecosystem growth. That’s why we envision Marketplace Business Success Pools: staking pools where $NAI holders can stake $NAI and share in the upside generated by marketplace activity. Instead of speculation, this is participation in real business outcomes.

Holders will be able to choose how they participate. You can stake into a broader, diversified pool that benefits from overall marketplace success, typically with lower risk and a more conservative ROI. Or you can stake into specific pools tied to a particular service or public workspace. Those are higher-risk and more concentrated, but if that service or workspace takes off, the potential ROI is significantly higher.

In this model, a portion of marketplace fees is shared with stakers. Rewards can be distributed in both $NAI and USD-based revenue share, creating a direct link between real marketplace adoption and community participation.

Launchpad: Builder Acceleration and Investment Access

Nuklai has always been about enabling builders. The more people build services and propositions on the stack, the more valuable Nuklai becomes as a whole. To accelerate this, we envision a launchpad concept that helps data and AI entrepreneurs bootstrap companies and services within the Nuklai ecosystem.

Access to the Nuklai launchpad and related investment opportunities will require staking $NAI. This is designed to align participation with the long-term health of the ecosystem and ensure that access is tied to real commitment, not passive speculation.

Aligning Token Utility with Real Adoption

NAI is designed around two core utility tracks.

Direct Usage of Helix

  • $NAI is used as gas for Helix activity: integrity and lineage transactions (hash proofs), plus any dApps and services that interact with Helix and submit or verify events.

  • $NAI can also be staked to help secure the network and earn rewards through node participation.

Ecosystem Access Through the Nexus Marketplace and Launchpad

  • Publishers pay $NAI to list and operate agents, services, or public data workspaces in the Nexus marketplace, creating skin in the game and quality alignment.

  • Paid $NAI or USD is designed to be partially redistributed into the marketplace staking pool, with a portion of the $NAI burned.

  • Community members can stake $NAI in Marketplace “Business Success” pools and share in marketplace upside, either via a diversified pool (lower risk) or more specific service/workspace pools (higher risk, higher potential ROI). Rewards can include both $NAI and USD-based revenue share.

  • Access to the Nuklai Launchpad and related investment opportunities requires staking $NAI, aligning participation with long-term ecosystem health.

At its core, $NAI is designed to link token utility directly to real activity across the Nuklai ecosystem.

On one side, Helix creates a network where data integrity, lineage, and verifiable events require $NAI as operational fuel. Every integrity proof, lineage event, and validation transaction strengthens the trust layer that AI systems depend on.

On the other side, the Nexus ecosystem opens the door for builders, partners, and enterprises to create and distribute real services, datasets, and domain-specific agents. Marketplace access, ecosystem participation, and builder acceleration are all designed to align incentives with long-term ecosystem growth.

This dual structure ensures that $NAI utility grows alongside actual adoption. As more organizations rely on Nexus for collaborative data exploration and Helix for verifiable data integrity, the role of $NAI becomes increasingly embedded in the workflows that power real-world AI.
