Three weeks ago, we teased the idea of the Smart Data City. 

Nuklai’s Smart Data City is our vision for an inclusive data ecosystem. One, where our community of users, builders, and partners can work together on innovations within the world of data and AI.

Nuklai’s Smart Data City ecosystem boasts a strong network of service providers, builders, investors, and innovators, fostering real-world business opportunities and collaborations. 

This diverse ecosystem will also allow both startups and large enterprises to access a broad spectrum of services, data, and expertise.

On the road to create this Smart Data City, we’re developing a journey with many pit stops that will include product releases, partnerships and gamified campaigns to encourage participation.

‍Today, we’re announcing a few key upcoming milestones and releases that will constitute the Grand Opening of Nuklai’s Smart Data City. 

Here’s what you need to know about today’s announcement.

• HelixVM Early Testnet is going to go live this week. You can read about its main functionalities below.

• Fill out Nuklai Buidlers’ Form to let us know what you envision contributing or building on top of HelixVM and how we can support you in that. We will be launching the Buildrs’ Grant Programme, where the Nuklai community will select the most promising recipients for grants that will help bring their visions to life!

HelixVM Early Testnet goes live this week

The Nuklai Early HelixVM Testnet will be open to developers and users to explore and interact with the Nuklai network ahead of its mainnet release. HelixVM testnet will roll-out in two distinct phases, each offering tools and features to testing and development before the mainnet roll-out.

Phase 1: Early Testnet

In the initial phase, the focus is on introducing the early version of the Nuklai HelixVM and continue the development of core functionalities.

‍Documentation, the Faucet and Feed code is available so developers can get familiar with the codebase, architecture and behaviour in the early HelixVM testnet as soon as this week. The faucet and feed are integrated within the wallet so developers can get the full experience running the wallet locally.

During this phase, users can engage in various activities such as transferring native testnet NAI tokens, creating, minting, and burning tokens. 

Additionally, they can delegate and undelegate NAI to or from validators and claim delegation rewards. Then, builders can run their subnets and bridge tokens between subnets.

For developers, Phase 1 offers the opportunity to clone and build the Nuklai CLI from the NuklaiVM GitHub repository. By syncing with the Nuklai Testnet using the subnet configuration file, developers can interact with the testnet using Nuklai CLI commands. 

Phase 2: Helix Testnet

The second phase is the release of the Nuklai Helix Testnet per Avalanche's unique subnet ecosystem. Helix will enjoy further decentralization and security from Avalanche's Fuji testnet. 

In addition, phase 2 will allow users to register for running testnet validators and participate in the early phase of the Helix testnet network.
